Heathcote High School was established in 1960, and is set in a quiet location close to the Royal National Park. Heathcote Heathcote High is a community, comprehensive school which seeks to provide a caring and supportive environment for students and staff, while pursuing excellence in learning, teaching, welfare, sporting and cultural programs.
A recognised strength of our school is a support unit for students with disabilities. In the area of outdoor education (including the Duke of Edinburgh program) the school is regarded highly across the state. Our school's code of behaviour is as follows: Make learning your number one priority; respect all members of the school and their property; respect everyone's right to learn without disruption; behave sensibly and safely; and take care of the environment. We as a community believe in sharing the responsibility for ensuring that our students are well educated, happy and responsible young Australians. This year we have become an associated school with the University of Sydney. This gives our teachers and students access to the wide range of resources of this university.
