Year Advisers and Support Staff

Year Advisers

Each cohort is allocated a Year Adviser who will provide guidance as Year 7 transitions into high school or when new students enrol. The Year Adviser is responsible for the students personal wellbeing, checks on academic progress, attendance, behaviour and achievements collected as part of the school's merit system. Students should always feel free to approach the Year Adviser with any concerns they may be experiencing.

Sport Coordinator

Sport is a compulsory part of the school curriculum from years 7 to 10 and is held on Thursday afternoons. The Sport Coordinator organises the sport options from term to term with cost associated with the activity chosen.

The Sport Coordinator also organises grade sport, knockout competitions, gala days and school carnivals.

Careers Adviser

The Careers Adviser provides guidance, advice and information that will help students make decisions about their future career and life beyond school. The Careers Adviser can make connections with TAFE courses, work experience, training or apprenticeship information and university entry requirements.

Senior Learning Centre Coordinator

Together with the Careers Adviser, the Senior Learning Centre (SLC) Coordinator provides support for Year 11 & 12 students. Each term the SLC coordinator undertakes interviews with every Year 12 student in order to identify their learning goals, monitor their progress and help them prepare for their transition from school. Students are supported towards achieving their personal best results with additional tutoring, study guides and advice leading to the HSC and beyond.

School Counsellor

The School Counsellor or School Psychologist are available to support students who may be experiencing personal difficulties. They deal with concerns referred by the Principal or other members of staff and offer brief counselling, referral to other services, assessment and personal skill building. Students and parents/caregivers may make appointments for interviews through the Front Office.

School Administration Staff

The school's administrative staff are your first point of call. They can answer inquiries or direct you to the appropriate staff member for help.
