The Heathcote High School Year 6 Enrichment Program caters for high potential and gifted students from our partner primary schools in Engadine, Heathcote, Helensburgh and Waterfall areas. The program, part of our Year 6 into Year 7 transition program, provides challenging, engaging and purposeful activities which broaden the students’ perspectives on learning.
The focus is on the use of higher order thinking skills and problem-based learning with students engaging in a series of experiences and projects, developed and facilitated by drama, maths, industrial arts, home economics and human society and its environment (HSIE) teachers, with the aim of deepening students’ knowledge and understanding.
Students attend for five consecutive Wednesdays from May 17, to 21 June 2023.
