Some of the most impactful learning happens outside the school gates. Here are some Creative and Performing Arts examples.
Years 10, 11 & 12 Music students got some hands-on experience in sound and lighting at Sydney's Metro Theatre.
They ran lighting designs and set up microphones for a concert by the band "Pocketwatch" and at the end of the day watched the performance with some students managing sound and lighting for the concert.
Our Drama Sport students will be performing at the LightsUp Festival at Parramatta on 29 August.
The LightsUp Festival provides the opportunity for students to perform in a professional venue and to build their knowledge, skills, understanding and appreciation in drama.
Musical Theatre: Kurt S will be performing in the Miranda Musical Theatre Company's production "School of Rock" at The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre, 13-17 September. Our Drama teacher, Mrs Keating, is directing and Year 11 Drama students are providing support in set, dressing and props for their Term 3 topic: Elements of Production in Performance.
